earth.air.fire.water (earth) 2004

This is from a series I did called earth.air.fire.water.
They are digital images printed on translucent media, held in a stainless steel frame, with dual flourescent backlights.
The photoshop work on these was agonizing, because they are large, high resolution images with up to 100 layers.
They ended up being a lot of fun, because the high resolution allowed me to maintain a real photographic integrity.
Despite the bizarre donut orientation, upon close inspection, they look like natural photographs.
